1951 Ford Custom Deluxe Club Coupe in Hopkinsville, KY

1951 Ford Custom Deluxe Club Coupe

Here is a very nice rare 1951 Ford Custom Deluxe Club Coupe. The car has approximately 93,400 miles and is mostly original well maintained over its life. Originally sold in Lamar Colorado it has always been a western car. It?s unknown if the 100 HP engine is the original but it starts and runs quite well. It does not smoke and has good oil pressure at speed and while idling hot. The 3 speed and overdrive perform well allowing highway speeds of 70 mph. Steering and shift linkage is tight. As a matter of fact, this car was driven trouble free last September on the 3,500 mile V8 club tour to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. In 2011 it was driven to Indiana to the James Dean reunion and in 2010 it was also driven trouble free on the Black Bart Tour in California. The car is equipped with new dual exhaust using the correct cast iron driver?s side exhaust manifold. It also has 2 new Good Year wide whites on the front. The trunk is clean and rust free and has the spare, jack and lug wrench. Note the 2 operating Unilite spot lights, turn signals, trim rings and fender skirts. The car has had during its life one repaint very close to its original factory color, Greenbriar Metallic. The body is ripple and rust free; the paint shows some age, but has a great luster still. It has original chrome and trim, while not ?show? caliber it still shows quite well. Seats are done in green Starcheck Craftweave and are in good condition, front and back. Note in front seat picture, there is a shadow across the seat...not a stain. All of the car?s instruments and accessories work, wipers, glove compartment lamp, heater, defroster, radio and cigarette lighter.
